BIOGRAPHY

Mie Ishiguro was born on 2 June 1888 in Hokkaido, Japan. Ishiguro was a hairdresser in the city of Yubari in Hokkaido. She spent the last 11 years of her life hospitalized after a leg injury. She died of pneumonia in Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan at the age of 113 years, 73 days. At the time of her death, she was the oldest living person in Japan
