Mary Maiurino

BIOGRAPHY

Maiurino was born in Syracuse, New York, United States, on 24 October (claimed 28th) 1907. Her parents were Antonio Giannuzzi (1872–1950) and Maddalena Johnson Giannuzzi (1882–1947), both Italian immigrants. She had six siblings. Maiurino was a member of the first graduating class from Prescott School and was later employed by Learbury’s.

In 1934, she married Anthony Maiurino (1908–1964). The couple had two children, Anthony S. (1937–2008) and Jeanella VanAlstyne.

Maiurino died in Fayetteville, Onondaga County, New York, United States, on 20 November 2019, at the age of 112 years.
