BIOGRAPHY
Marie-Reine Sylvestre was born as Marie-Reine Cécilia-Joseph on 6 September 1907, in Le François, Martinique, France. At some point in her life, she married a man with the surname Sylvestre and later emigrated to mainland France, settling in the commune of Les Ulis, near Paris.
Marie-Reine Sylvestre passed away in Les Ulis, Essonne, Ile-de-France, France, on 6 May 2019 at the age of 111 years, 242 days.
RECOGNITION
Her age was verified by the members of Les Grands Centenaires Français, and validated by the European Supercentenarian Organisation (ESO) on 30 October 2023.
