Marie-Louise Delefortrie (née Pontet) was a French supercentenarian whose age has been validated by the European Supercentenarian Organisation (ESO).

BIOGRAPHY

Marie-Louise Delefortrie was born in the commune of Mons-en-Barœul, Nord Department, Hauts-de-France Region, France, on 18 May 1908.

In 1933, she married Robert Delefortrie in Marcq-en-Baroeul. She ran a gardening shop in La Madeleine with her husband until 1968. The couple had two daughters.

At the age of 102, she had eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. At the age of 104, she moved into a nursing home in Saint-André-lez-Lille.

RECOGNITION

Her age was verified by Cyril Depoudent and Guillaume Legris of the Les Grands Centenaires Français, and validated by the ESO on 9 September 2020.

Delefortrie was the last (known) surviving French person born in 1908.
