Elisabeth Marie Henriette Turlais was a French supercentenarian whose age has been validated by the European Supercentenarian Organisation (ESO).

BIOGRAPHY

Marie-Henriette Turlais was born in Angoulême, Charente department, Nouvelle-Aquitaine, France, on 30 July 1911. At some point she got married and raised at least two children, Annick and Bernard.

In 1997, she moved to the Les Lauriers Roses nursing home in Le Soler, where she spent the remainder of her life. Her longevity was recognized by local officials and staff, who honored her with flowers and the city’s medal.

Turlais passed away in Le Soler, Pyrénées-Orientales, Occitanie, France, on 14 June 2022, at the age of 110 years, 319 days.

RECOGNITION

Her age was verified by the members of the Les Grands Centenaires Français, and validated by the ESO on 10 October 2021.
