Marie-Antoinette Radix was born in Lyon, on 7 December 1904. After her mother passed away in 1916, she went to live with her father in Tassin-la-Demi-Lune. In 1926, she moved to Lyon with her sister and began working as a secretary. She continued in that role until 1970, when she chose to retire in order to care for her ailing sister.
The following year, in 1971, she moved to Vaugneray, where she lived for the next two decades. In 1991, she entered the Émeraudes retirement home, and later, in 2008, she moved to the Saint-Joseph nursing home, where she spent her later years.
Marie-Antoinette Radix passed away in the commune of Vaugneray in the Rhône department in eastern France, on 8 April 2017, at the age of 112 years, 122 days.
Radix’s age was verified by Cyril Depoudent, and was validated by the ESO on 22 January 2020.
