Marianne Necki was born in Ostrowiec, Holy Cross Province, Russian Empire (now Poland), on 28 February 1910. Her mother died on typhus when she was 8 and her father could barely take care of her and her sibling all alone. She was unable to go to school but had a passion for music and dancing.
At the age of 18, she left Ostrowiec, Poland and moved to France to work at the mines in Lens, Pas-de-Calais, where she was sorting coal for six years. There, she met her future husband Stanislas. Later on, she moved to nearby Carvin and gave birth to four children.
Necki passed away in Montigny-en-Gohelle, Pas-de-Calais, Hauts-de-France, France, on 18 December 2020, at the age of 110.
Her age was verified by Guillaume Legris of Les Grands Centenaires Français, Stefan Maglov, and Marco Wikkerink, and validated by the European Supercentenarian Organisation on 13 September 2025, and later recognized by LongeviQuest.
