Maria Pregnolato is an Italian supercentenarian.
Maria Pregnolato was born in Contarina (present-day Porto Viro), Veneto, Italy, on 8 March 1916. Her youth was spent working in the fields and rice paddies of northern Italy, particularly in the Vercelli area. She later contracted malaria, though she ultimately managed to recover from the illness. She spent every summer in Porto Viro, which at the time was still called Contarina.
After 1943, she and her husband were in Germany on business when, following the armistice, they were taken prisoner. She had one daughter, who passed away around 2011. By the age of 110, she had two granddaughters. After being widowed in 1999, Maria lived for some time in Prato with her daughter’s family. She later chose to move to Adria, into a nursing home, where her two siblings, Imo and Cesarina, were also living. Cesarina later passed away at the age of 105.
Her age has not been validated.
