Maria Caruso was an Italian supercentenarian.
BIOGRAPHY
Maria Caruso was born in Mussomeli, Sicily, Italy, on 27 May 1915. She lost her mother when she was still a child. At some point, she married Pasquale. The couple had four children: Calogero, Gerlando, Carmela, and Giuseppina. Her son Calogero died at the age of 20.
At the age of 107, she had six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Caruso passed away on 4 May 2026 in Genoa, Liguria, Italy, at the age of 110 years, 342 days.
RECOGNITION
Her age was verified by Paolo Scarabaggio, and validated by the European Supercentenarian Organisation on 30 August 2025, and later recognized by LongeviQuest.
