María Carmen Nouche Porro was born in Órdenes, Galicia, Spain, on 15 September 1911. At the age of 21, she married and moved to Poulo with her husband, who died during the Spanish Civil War. Later, she remarried and devoted herself to raising three children, two of whom passed away shortly after birth. Both her mother and grandmother lived past the age of 100. To support her family, she worked both at home and in the fields, often selling cheeses and agricultural products at local fairs.
Maria Carmen Nouche Porro passed away in Poulo parish, Órdenes, La Coruña Province, Galicia, Spain on 23 August 2022, at the age of 110 years, 342 days. She was survived by her son Antonio, six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter.
Following the passing of María Luisa Vázquez de Silva on 24 December 2021, she became the oldest known living person in Galicia. Upon her passing, she was succeeded by Luis Torras Martínez.
