Maria-Anna Higelin was a French supercentenarian who was among the oldest living people in the present-day region of Grand Est. Her age has been validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG) and recognised by LongeviQuest.
Higelin was born in Haut-Rhin, Grand Est, France, on 18 November 1882. Throughout her life, Haut-Rhin was part of the former region of Alsace. She died in the same department on 21 March 1994 at the age of 111 years, 123 days.
Higelin’s age was verified by Jean-Marie Robine and validated by the GRG on 7 May 2002.
