Marguerite Anne Daigle (née LeBlanc) was a Canadian supercentenarian whose age has been validated by LongeviQuest.
Marguerite Daigle was born on 25 January 1882 in Sainte-Anne-de-Kent, New Brunswick, Canada to parents Amable LeBlanc (1851–1940) and Henriette Richard (1854–1950). She had 11 siblings, seven of whom survived to adulthood. Her mother passed away at the age of 95, her father at 88, and one of her sisters lived to 100 years and seven months. When she was 101, it was reported that her sister Rosanne, then 94, was also a resident of the same nursing home.
She married Camille Daigle (1878–1957) in 1905. She attended St. Charles Barrome Roman Catholic Church and was a member of the Dames of Ste. Anne. She and her husband reportedly led a simple yet fulfilling life as farmers until retirement and his passing at the age of 79. She continued to live independently until the age of 92, when she moved into a nursing home, and later, at 99, to Manoir Saint-Jean Baptiste in Bouctouche.
Even at 101, she remained active—sewing, knitting, and doing alterations for friends. She also loved reading and writing. At the time, she reflected: “I’ve always found life beautiful. There were times more difficult than others, but by working you always succeed in surmounting these. Death has never scared me.”
Until age 109, she was an avid reader and enjoyed knitting. Even at age 110, she would stay active in the nursing home by visiting friends. She passed away on 9 November 1992 at age of 110 years, 289 days.
Her age was verified by Nick Eriksson and Eli Logan, and validated by LongeviQuest on 27 August 2025.
