Maria Angela “Margitì” Crescini was an Italian supercentenarian. Her age has been validated by the European Supercentenarian Organisation (ESO).
Margitì Crescini was born in Riva di Solto, Lombardy, Italy, on 20 January 1904. Together with her husband Giovanni, affectionately known as Arturo, she raised eight children.
She began living with her daughter Irma at the age of 102. She was first admitted to the hospital at the age of 103 after fracturing her femur. Even at 111, she did not take any medication—not even sleeping pills.
Margitì Crescini passed away in Riva di Solto, on 17 December 2015, at the age of 111 years, 331 days.
Crescini’s age was verified by Paolo Scarabaggio, and was validated by the ESO on 24 January 2020.
