BIOGRAPHY

Margherita Orioli was born in Bagnacavallo, Emilia-Romagna, Italy, on 25 June 1905.

Beginning in December 1936, she taught at the nursery school in Baricella for thirty years. After retiring, she continued to live in Baricella until 1995, staying with two families who welcomed her into their homes. During this time, she helped raise and care for their children.

In 1995, she entered the Don Carlo Cavina nursing home in Lugo.

Margherita Orioli passed away in Lugo, Emilia-Romagna, on 3 July 2015, at the age of 110 years, 8 days.

RECOGNITION

Her age was validated by the European Supercentenarian Organisation (ESO) on 18 March 2025.
