Malinda Johnson (née Forest) was an American supercentenarian

BIOGRAPHY

Johnson was born in Carroll County, Mississippi, USA, on 1 January 1909. At some point, she married James Curtis Johnson, with whom she had five children: Milton, J.C., Leon, Ivory, and Alonso. They farmed for two years before relocating to Memphis, Tennessee, where they lived and worked for over 30 years. Upon retiring, they moved to Byhalia. She was reportedly the great-great-grandmother of Kibwé Johnson, an American Olympic track and field athlete specializing in the hammer throw. She was a member of Isaac Chapel CME Church of Byhalia where she served as the oldest missionary in the church.

Malinda Johnson passed away at Alliance Health Care System in Holly Springs, Mississippi, on 21 August 2019, at the age of 111 years, 233 days.
