BIOGRAPHY

Marusek was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA, on 2 May 1913.

At some point, she married Stephen James Marusek. Her husband was a U.S. Army veteran, a tool engineer at the Shakespeare Company, and a very talented craftsman. The couple had a daughter, Margaret Dozois (1953–2022). Around 1993, the couple moved from Michigan to North Augusta, South Carolina, where they resided at the time of her husband’s passing on 19 January 2007. Sometime after his passing, she moved to Bradenton.

At the time of her daughter’s passing in May 2022, she had two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. In May 2023, she celebrated her 110th birthday in Bradenton Health Care.

Marusek passed away in Bradenton, Florida, USA, on 20 September 2023, at the age of 110 years, 141 days.

RECOGNITION

Her age was verified by Marco Wikkerink, Ben Meyers, and Stefan Maglov, and validated by LongeviQuest on 26 May 2024. Her age was previously validated by the Gerontology Research Group on January 31, 2024. However, they validated her with a birth date of 16 May 1913, while research by LongeviQuest concluded that her actual date of birth was 2 May 1913.
