Lodovica Borra was born in a ranch house on land that would later become part of Culver City, California, on 7 April 1915. Her parents, Joseph and Celestina Fea, were early settlers and local farmers in the area. Lodovica and her sister, Mary, grew up on the family’s 80-acre ranch, where they worked alongside their parents tending crops, raising farm animals, and selling fresh produce from their land. She attended La Ballona School, the first school established in the area, and later graduated from Venice High School. The Fea family was also well-known for operating a winery at the corner of Overland and Franklin Avenues.
In time, she married Joseph Borra in Culver City, and together they raised two children, Lorraine and Dominic. Both Lodovica and her sister Mary married brothers from the Borra family. After the family’s ranch property was sold in the late 1940s to make way for the future site of Culver City High School, the sisters and their families settled in nearby homes.
Lodovica was known for her love of cooking, which led her to work in the cafeterias at La Ballona and El Rincon Elementary Schools, as well as Culver City High School.
Her age was verified by Eli Logan, and validated by LongeviQuest on 14 April 2025.
