Lidia Riso was an Italian supercentenarian who was the oldest living person born in the region of Tuscany. Her age has been validated by the European Supercentenarian Organisation (ESO) and recognised by LongeviQuest.
Riso was born in Livorno, Tuscany, Italy, on 23 December 1905. She married a man surnamed Berti and was a housewife. The couple had a daughter, Alessandra, with whom Riso lived during her final years. As a centenarian, she was still able to assist in household duties.
Riso died in her hometown on 8 February 2017 at the age of 111 years, 47 days.
At the time of her death, Riso was the oldest living Tuscany native, and the second-oldest Tuscany resident after Giuseppina Projetto (1902–2018).
Riso’s age was verified by Paolo Scarabaggio and validated by the ESO on 29 July 2021.
