BIOGRAPHY
Julio Borges Castillo was born in Maisí, Guantánamo Province, Cuba, on 13 April 1913 to parents Germán Borges Matos and Esmeralda Castillo Furones.
He grew up in a traditional Cuban family and worked as a farmer.
He married twice and had 10 children.
Borges Castillo passed away at 5:30 AM on 3 January 2025 in Baracoa, Guantánamo Province, Cuba, at the age of 111 years, 265 days.
