BIOGRAPHY

Juliette Boulivet was born in the former commune of Roullée in the Sarthe department in the Pays de la Loire region in north-western France, on 8 July 1907. In 1940, she met Gustave Boulivet, with whom she built a home. Together, they settled as farmers in Plantis. The couple had a daughter, Marie-Thérèse, who later gave them two grandchildren.

At 107, she resided at the Les Périnettes residential care home, where she had lived since 1988. Her daughter lived just 100 meters away, and every afternoon, they enjoyed a short walk together.

Juliette Boulivet passed away on 28 October 2018, at the age of 111 years, 112 days.

RECOGNITION

Boulivet’s age has been validated by the European Supercentenarian Organisation (ESO).
