Julia Bascuñana Herrada was a Spanish supercentenarian.

BIOGRAPHY

Julia Bascuñana Herrada was born in the municipality of Belmonte in the province of Cuenca, Castile-La Mancha, Spain, on 7 February 1911. On 3 February 1957, she relocated from Benagéber to El Puerto. At some point, she married and had two children: Antonio Carrasco and Milagros.

At the age of 110, she had four grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. At that time, she was still living independently, though her daughter was spending some time with her.

RECOGNITION

On 8 November 2020, following the passing of 111-year-old Teresa Velázquez Andrés, she became the oldest (known) living person in the Valencian Community.

Her age has not been validated.
