Jovita Medina Posada was a Mexican supercentenarian whose age has been validated by the Latin American Supercentenarians (LAS), and recognized by LongeviQuest.

BIOGRAPHY

Medina Posada was born on 1 January 1914 in Mexico. At some point, she married and had 11 children. She was an elementary school teacher.

When asked about the secret of her long life, she said “it’s God”.

At the age of 107, she was still independent, using a cane occasionally but experiencing no discomfort.

Medina Posada died on 12 June 2024 in Mexico at the age of 110 years, 163 days.

RECOGNITION

Her age was verified by Esteban González, Fabrizio Villatoro and with the assistance of her family, and validated by LAS on 3 January 2022.
