BIOGRAPHY

Jesús Mosteo Perez was born in Ricla, Aragon, Spain, on 1 January 1908. Throughout his life, he worked as a farmer and shepherd, though he also pursued bullfighting.

For many years in his later life, he lived with one of his sons in Salillas de Jalón. After turning 100, he chose to step away from the media, preferring to maintain his privacy.

Jesús Mosteo Perez passed away in Salillas de Jalón, Aragon, on 28 August 2019, at the age of 111 years, 239 days.

RECOGNITION

On 30 July 2017, following the passing of 110-year-old Teresa Solans Ferrer, he became the oldest known living person in Aragon.

In January 2018, he celebrated his 110th birthday, becoming the first known male supercentenarian in Aragon.

On 29 January 2018, at the age of 110 years, 28 days, he became the oldest living man in Spain, following the passing of 113-year-old Francisco Núñez Olivera. He held the title until his own passing in August 2019, when he was succeeded by Saturnino de la Fuente García.

His age has not been validated.
