Jesús Fraustro Campa was a Mexican semi-supercentenarian.
Fraustro Campa was born in General Cepeda, Coahuila, Mexico on 2 October 1901.
Fraustro was an old-school teacher, public administrator, and dean of Coahuilense Freemasonry.
He was the principal and teacher, for over 20 years, at the “Ladislao Covantes” Secondary School in San Pedro de las Colonias, Coahuilán, but he was also an elementary school teacher at several schools in Saltillo, Coahuilán, Chihuahua, and San Luis Potosí.
His teacher training was supported by many distinguished professors, but especially by José Rodríguez González (who, as director of the Norma School in Coahuila, provided him with a pension of twenty pesos per month, which in 1915 represented a reasonable amount of money).
In December 1927, Professor Jesús Fraustro Campa married Professor Celia Cárdenas Morales. They had only one daughter, Blanca Aurora Frausto Cárdenas, who died at the age of seven.
He and his wife participated in the union activities of the Regional Workers’ Confederation, joining first as students and later as teachers, as the teachers’ union, known today by its acronym SNTE, did not exist at that time.
Professor Jesús Frausto Campa stood out as an upright leader and social activist, and together with his wife, they held several positions in the aforementioned Confederation, as well as assistants to the leaders.
After 40 years of teaching service, Professor Frausto Campa retired in 1967 and moved to his hometown of General Cepeda, Coahuila. In his hometown, General Cepeda, he was elected as a mayor in 1976, distinguishing himself as an effective public administrator.
Regarding his post-teaching studies, Fraustro Campa dedicated the last three decades of his life to expanding his knowledge in philosophy, mathematics, logic, ethics, physics, and chemistry, but he also ventured into the field of health through perspectives and alternatives related to human physiology, nutrition, sports, and more.
Fraustro Campa died on 30 July 2011 in Saltillo, Coahuila, Mexico, at the age of 109.
His age was verified by Stefan Maglov and validated by Latin American Supercentenarians (LAS) on 5 May 2021, and recognized by LongeviQuest later.
