BIOGRAPHY

Jennie Pattist was born in South Corinth, Saratoga County, New York, on 24 March 1903, to parents William Towers and Jennie Meyers. She had 13 siblings. She attended school in South Corinth. She married John Pattist (1896–1991) on 7 August 1923, in Greenfield. The couple made their home in Corinth, where they shared 67 years of marriage until John’s death on 3 March 1991. The couple had two children: Marjorie J. Barton and John E. Pattist (1926–1978).

Jennie was an active member of the First United Methodist Church of Corinth and belonged to a quilting club in Corinth for many years. She was employed for several years at the Cluett-Peabody Shirt Factory. Jennie took great pleasure in tending her flower and vegetable gardens and enjoyed quilting, homemaking, and cooking.

After turning 101, Pattist continued to live at home with assistance from a caregiver. In 2009, her family made the decision to move her to Wesley Health Care Center, where she could receive additional care and support.
