At the age of 108, she lived at Acacia Mews Care Home in Hatfield. To mark her 108th birthday, Mayor Councillor Pat Mabbott paid her a visit and remarked: “Ivy has witnessed so much of our country’s history, and I feel privileged to have met her and joined in celebrating her birthday.”

Ivy Noble passed away in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, England, on 30 April 2020, at the age of 111 years, 111 days.

RECOGNITION

Following the passing of 109-year-old Doris Lucy Parr (28 April 1908 – 29 July 2017) of Hatfield, she became the oldest (known) living person in Hertfordshire. She held the title until her own passing in April 2020, when she was succeeded by Maude “Dilla” Hughes.

Noble’s age was verified by Dr. Andrew Holmes and validated by the ESO on 18 March 2020.
