BIOGRAPHY

Iso Nakamura was born in Kanazawa, Ishikawa Prefecture on April 23, 1903.

She married a man who lived in the same city, but she lost her husband when she was 27. Whilst running a fish vendor and a beachside restaurant, she raised two children by herself.

After the death of her children, she entered a nursing home in 2004. By the time she was 111, she could sometimes eat with a spoon on her own. She liked sweet things like ice cream and red bean paste.
