Isabelle Boizeau was born in the commune of Saint-Martin-des-Champs in the Yonne department in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté in north-central France, on 18 November 1905. Her parents were Alexandre Isidore Billaud (1864–1940) and Aline Marie Martin (1871–1950). She had at least two older siblings: Germaine (1895–1978) and René (1902–1996).
On 8 June 1937, at the age of 31, she married Louis Gabriel Charles Jean Boizeau (1909–2002) in Saint-Amand-en-Puisaye. After her marriage, she moved to Châlette-sur-Loing and became a stay-at-home mother. She lived there for most of her life, as her husband worked as a railway employee at the Montargis station. While raising her twin children—a boy and a girl—she also worked from home as an embroiderer.
At 109, she was living at the La Boisserie retirement home.
Isabelle Boizeau passed away in Montargis in the Centre-Val de Loire Région, on 25 November 2017, at the age of 112 years, 7 days.
Boizeau’s age was verified by Les Grands Centenaires Français, and validated by the European Supercentenarian Organisation (ESO) on 12 July 2023.
