Iride Fontanesi was born in the comune of Luzzara in the province of Reggio Emilia, in Emilia-Romagna, Italy, on 2 June 1903.
Iride Fontanesi passed away in Rome, on 1 July 2013, at the age of 110 years, 29 days.
