BIOGRAPHY

Borghi was born in Camposanto, Emilia-Romagna, Italy, on 20 August 1913.

At some point, she married Erdelico and worked in Camposanto. On 3 April 1942, during World War II, her husband was taken away for military service. She saw him again only three years later, without ever knowing where he had been, receiving neither a letter nor a message. On 20 October 1945, they brought him home: he had survived imprisonment in Germany.

Borghi passed away in Camposanto, Emilia-Romagna, Italy, on 18 November 2023, at the age of 110 years, 90 days.

RECOGNITION

Her age was validated by the ESO on 28 April 2024.
