BIOGRAPHY

Herminia Rosa López Tobón was born in the village of Santa Ana, Granada, Antioquia on 21 January 1912. She married at the age of 22. The couple had 11 children (five of them died in infancy). Her husband died at the age of 43.

As of January 2018, she had four living children, 17 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. In January 2022, she celebrated her 110th birthday.

At the age of 110, she was still able to walk with help of a cane. She was also still lucid. At the time, she lived with her oldest daughter, Ana (aged 86 in January 2022)

López Tobón died Medellín, Antioquia, Colombia, on 19 April 2022, at the age of 110 years, 88 days.
