Herminia Licerio Garay was a Mexican semi-supercentenarian.
Licerio Garay was born in Nazas, Durango, Mexico on 2 December 1911. A few years after her birth, her father Felícitos, a tailor and musician who played the harp, decided to emigrate with his family to the Cruces estate, located in the municipality of Nazas, Durango.
In December 1943, she married Francisco Lugo Canales and had six children: Francisco, María Fortina, Hilda, María del Refugio, Sergio and María del Carmen.
At the age of 106, it was reported that she followed politics and international news by reading newspapers and listening to the radio.
Licerio Garay died on 14 December 2019 in Gómez Palacio, Durango, Mexico, at the age of 108.
Her age was verified by Stefan Maglov and validated by Latin American Supercentenarians (LAS) on 8 July 2021, and recognized by LongeviQuest later.
