Henriette Albertine Leontine Bœuf (née Chambrette) was a French supercentenarian. Her age has been validated by the European Supercentenarian Organisation (ESO).
BIOGRAPHY
Henriette Bœuf was born in the commune of Saint-Just-Sauvage in the Marne department in north-eastern France, on 4 November 1903. Her parents were Philibert Henri Chambrette (1875-1926) and Louise Mélanie Protat (1879-1925). She loved school and dreamed of becoming a teacher, but the outbreak of the First World War cut her studies short when she was just 14. Soon after, she was placed in a large pastry shop on Boulevard Montmartre in Paris.
At 19, she returned to Saint-Just-Sauvage to marry a railway worker. On 26 December 1922, she married Lucien Maurice Bœuf (1898-1964). She herself found work in Romilly, making stockings in a hosiery shop.
Henriette Bœuf passed away in Saint-Martin-d’Ablois, on 23 July 2016, at the age of 112 years, 262 days.
