BIOGRAPHY

Helena Michalik was born in Centralia, Pennsylvania, United States, on 22 May 1914.

She moved to Poland in 1920. She married in April 1934 and had two daughters: Zytę and Annę.

When she celebrated her 100th birthday in 2014, she revealed the secret to her longevity: a preference for simple, rustic food, without excessive meat or processed foods. No dieting. In addition, maintaining an active lifestyle—getting as much outdoor exercise as possible—and keeping stress to a minimum.

She passed away on 7 September 2024 in Kazimierza Wielka, Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship, Poland, at the age of 110 years, 108 days.
