Helen Ngit Chung Ching (née Lum) was an American supercentenarian who was the oldest known living person in the US state of Hawaii at the time of her death.

BIOGRAPHY

Helen Ching was born in Hawaii, USA, on 28 January 1914. She married Harry Ching and together they raised three children.

At the age of 110, she had six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. She attributed her longevity to her love for fried rice and Chinese cuisine.

Ching passed away in Honolulu, Hawaii, USA, on 14 September 2024, at the age of 110.

RECOGNITION

Her age was verified by Fabrizio Villatoro, and validated by LongeviQuest on 31 July 2024. Although she claims to have been born on January 29, 1914, research conducted by LongeviQuest suggests she was more likely born the day before.
