Hedwig Wickert was a German supercentenarian.
Hedwig Wickert was born in Duisburg, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, on 17 July 1909. She managed the accounting department at St. Marienhospital. At the age of 100, she suffered a fractured femoral neck, after which she chose to move into a nursing home. She never married and had no children; her sister managed the household while Hedwig was the breadwinner. She traveled widely—visiting New York and other countries—first on her own and later accompanied by her cousin.
At the age of 110, she resided at the St. Vincenz retirement home in Neumühl.
Hedwig Wickert passed away in Duisburg, on 28 November 2020, at the age of 111 years, 134 days.
