BIOGRAPHY
Haruno Yamashita was born in Japan on 19 February 1905.
Haruno Yamashita was last confirmed alive on 1 September 2019, at the age of 114 years, 194 days. She was a resident of Kurume, Fukuoka Prefecture.
RECOGNITION
In September 2015, at 110, she was reported as the fourth-oldest living person in Fukuoka Prefecture, after Kane Tanaka, an anonymous lady from Kitakyushu, and Sakae Kadota.
Her age was verified by the MHLW, Japan, and validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG) on 3 July 2018. The validation was later recognized by LongeviQuest.
At the time of her death, she was the third-oldest living person in Japan, after Kane Tanaka and Shigeyo Nakachi, as well as the second-oldest living person in Fukuoka, after Tanaka.
