Hama Takebayashi passed away in Kyoto City, Japan, in April or May 2014, at the age of 111 years, 86-146 days.

RECOGNITION

In September 2013, she was reported as the third-oldest living person in Kyoto Prefecture, after Matsuyo Kageyama and Mutsuji Yamawaki.

Her age was verified by the MHLW, Japan, and validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG) on 24 April 2014. The validation was later recognized by LongeviQuest.
