BIOGRAPHY

Giuseppa D’Agostino was born in San Luca, Calabria, Italy, on 24 March 1908. She was married to a man named Sebastiano. The couple had four children.

Over the years, she endured significant health challenges, including a compound femur fracture and a difficult, painful battle with breast cancer. When she was in her 60s or 70s, doctors told her there was nothing more they could do—but she made a full recovery.

Shortly before her 110th birthday, she caught the flu, which greatly weakened her. However, on her birthday, she found the strength to share stories of her life with her visitors.

Giuseppa D’Agostino passed away in San Luca, on 15 April 2018, at the age of 110 years, 22 days.
