BIOGRAPHY

Gisèle Chalifour was born in Canada on 20 June 1907. She was the thirteenth of 14 children, and her youngest sister passed away in 2016 at the age of 108.

On her 100th birthday, she was affected by a fall that resulted in a broken hip. Even at 110, she remained sharp and could easily recall familiar faces. At the time, she was a resident of the CHSLD Saint-Joseph-de-la-Providence nursing home in the Ahuntsic-Cartierville borough in Montreal. She was living there for five years.
