Gilda Poli

BIOGRAPHY

Gilda Poli was born in Specchia, Apulia, Italy, on 22 March 1915. She was the aunt of Lecce Mayor Adriana Poli Bortone. Poli was a professor and spent most of her life in her Ligurian home, preserving until the end the clarity of mind and strength.

Gilda Poli passed away in Rapallo, Liguria, Italy, on 14 August 2025, at the age of 110 years, 145 days.

RECOGNITION

Her age was verified by Paolo Scarabaggio, and validated by the European Supercentenarian Organisation (ESO) on 21 May 2025.
