BIOGRAPHY

King was born Gertrude Walczek in New York City, New York, on 26 October 1913. At some point, she married Joseph B. King, and the couple had six children: Joseph, Virginia Ference, Paul, Richard, James and Robert. For some time, she resided in Arlington.

King passed away in Winchester, Massachusetts, on 15 May 2024, at the age of 110 years, 202 days. She was survived by 14 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
