BIOGRAPHY

Germaine Donnet was born in the commune of Oissel in the Seine-Maritime department in the Normandy region, on 24 November 1907. For a time, she lived in Bois-Colombes (Hauts-de-Seine), where her parents purchased a building, and they lived there. She later worked at a South American bank in Paris while also caring for her parents. After their passing, she continued managing the building.

In 1977, she moved to Loué, a town she was familiar with because her sister lived there.

In March 2000, at 92, she moved into the nursing home in Loué. By her 110th birthday in 2017, she shared her nursing home with two other centenarians, aged 105 and 101.

Germaine Donnet passed away in Le Mans in the Sarthe department, Pays de la Loire, on 28 February 2018, at the age of 110 years, 96 days.
