Genoveva “Bebang” Garcia (née Ferma) is a Filipina supercentenarian whose age has been validated by LongeviQuest. She is the oldest known living person in the Philippines.

BIOGRAPHY

Genoveva Garcia was born in Anuling Lejos I, Mendez, Cavite, Philippines, on 3 January 1916 to parents Sixto Ferma and Maria Dimapilis. She was one of five siblings: three girls and two boys. Due to poverty, she only finished until 4th grade of elementary. She was a skilled weaver, weaving marriage dresses and amerikanas (suits for men).

She married Sixto Garcia on 11 June 1936, and together they had nine children, whom seven were still alive as of January 2026, the eldest child was 88 and the youngest one was 65. Her job was planting in the fields and selling fruits and vegetables in the market. She raised all her 7 children well, as they were able to get education and have jobs. She later retired when she got old.

On her 100th birthday, when asked the secret about her longevity, she attributed God for giving her a healthy and strong body. Despite her advanced age, she did not have any illness.

She is currently in the care of five of her children in Mendez, Cavite, Philippines.
