Gelsomina Petrocelli

BIOGRAPHY

Petrocelli was born as Gelsomina Nappi in Boston, Massachusetts, USA, on 3 January 1911. Her parents were Italian immigrants John Nappi and Annina Tannicelli. She had two siblings: Antonette and Alfred. She moved to New York State in 1929.

In 1933, she married Frank Petrocelli (1909–1992).

Petrocelli passed away in New York State, USA on 23 May 2022 at the age of 111 years, 140 days.

RECOGNITION

At the time of her death, she was the second-oldest known living person in New York, after Sadie Rosenkrantz.
