Gail Stites (née Foster) was an American supercentenarian whose age has been validated by LongeviQuest.

BIOGRAPHY

Gail Stites was born on 6 December 1899 in Clariton Township, Appanoose County, Iowa, United States, as the second child of Milo and Myrtle (Tissue) Foster. She had three sisters. She attended Brush Country School in Appanoose County. On 25 October 1924, Gail married Raymond Eugene Stites in Appanoose County. Together, they had at least four children. Tragically, Raymond passed away on 5 April 1971 at the age of 77, leaving Gail widowed. She chose not to remarry after his passing.

She was a homemaker and attended Moulton Christian Church in Moulton. One of her favorite pastimes was quilting. She quilted many quilts for herself and her family.

Gail Stites passed away on 26 December 2009 in Centerville, Iowa, United States, at the age of 110 years, 20 days.
