BIOGRAPHY
Fumi Nonaka was born in Ube, Yamaguchi Prefecture, Japan, on 7 January 1898.
Fumi Nonaka passed away in Shimonoseki, Yamaguchi Prefecture, around 10 June 2009, at the age of 111 years, c.154 days.
RECOGNITION
On 27 November 2007, following the death of 111-year-old Hisa Tokumoto of Shūnan, Nonaka became the oldest living person in Yamaguchi Prefecture. Upon her own passing, she was succeeded by Ine Atarashiya.
Her age was verified by the MHLW, Japan, and validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG) on 13 October 2008. The validation was later recognized by LongeviQuest.
