BIOGRAPHY

Franca Settimanni was born in Livorno, Tuscany, Italy, on 8 July 1905, to parents Francesco Settimanni Ciacchi and Ida Traxler Ott. She had at least one sister, Carla (4 August 1907 – 13 October 2008), who lived to be 101. She was a Red Cross nurse and a member of the Daughters of Charity of Saint Vincent de Paul. Her husband, Carlo Maffei Faccioli, was a descendant of Francesco Scipione Maffei‘s brother. The couple had two children: Scipione and Alvise.

Franca Settimanni passed away in Verona, Veneto, Italy, on 4 February 2016, at the age of 110 years, 211 days.
