Eva de Miranda was born in Camagüey, Camagüey Province, Cuba, on 7 September 1910. Her father were Agustín de Miranda Piloña and Trinidad Hernández Zayas. She had eight siblings: two sisters and six brothers. On 16 February 1935, she married Félix Montero Álvarez. They had three children: Reinaldo Job (born 1936), Armando Silvio (born 1938), and Norys Margarita (born 1940).
Her father was a colonel in the Liberation Army who witnessed the birth of the Guáimaro Constitution. Everything related to the homeland was always a priority for him. As time passed and the house where the Constituent Assembly took place on April 10, 1869, began to deteriorate, Agustín, faced with the demolition of the building, collected a brick from its walls. He later recorded the details of this relic and emphasized the importance of preserving it for his children. He passed down its story to his descendants, including Eva. Because of this, Eva lived a life proud of her heritage, instilling a love for her homeland in both her descendants and those around her. Her skills in crafts allowed her to connect with multiple generations, imparting her values and traditions.
Eva de Miranda passed away in Camagüey, Camagüey Province, Cuba, on 26 February 2021, at the age of 110 years, 172 days.
