BIOGRAPHY

Carrier was born in Rivière-du-Loup, Quebec, Canada, on 29 April 1908, as the ninth of 17 children born to parents Ernest Carrier (1875–1948) and Marie-Anne Rioux (1878–1950). During the 1918 flu pandemic, only Eva and her mother were not affected, but no family members died from it. She moved to Quebec City in the late 1920s to take a nursing course.

In 1933, she married Émile Delisle. A year later, she gave birth to their daughter, Françoise.

Carrier passed away in Quebec City, Québec, Canada, on 22 November 2019, at the age of 111 years, 207 days.
